Website Accessibility

mhs homes will aim to ensure that no person receives less favourable treatment from the organisation, this includes accessing information on our website.

For information on accessability and how you can modify your computer to meet your personal needs, mhs homes suggest that you visit the BBC web page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/accessibility/ for excellent advice and guidance.

Language Translation

In order for our web pages to be instantly translated from English to other languages, we use Google Language Tools.  Just connect to the Google Language Tools web page by visiting http://www.google.co.uk/language_tools?hl=en

1. Copy the data from your browser address bar (see below for example):

Internet Browser Address Bar

2. Paste the text copied from the address bar into the 'Translate a web page' field,  replacing the text that is already in the field, on the Google Translator web page (see below for example):

3. Select the language you want the page to be translated from the drop-down list and click 'Translate'.  Google will then translate the web page into your chosen language.

Website Screen Readers

For customers who require web pages to be read aloud, mhs homes suggest using the Browsealoud program which is free to download.  Following simple instructions, Browsealoud allows you to control the voice that is used and it highlights the words as it reads them.  To download Browsealoud, visit their website at http://www.browsealoud.com/page.asp?pg_id=80004
