Building Supervisor retires after 15 years
service
Len Tilbury started with mhs
commercial services as a Foreman Plumber when the company was
initiated in 1992 having previously worked as a Plumber and Fitter
for Ulsdean Kitchens, Rochester.
He worked his way up the company to
become Building Supervisor, helping to run "Menu Improvements," the
choice based improvements scheme for mhs homes and spent the last
three years refurbishing kitchens and bathrooms with the mhs,
"Homes to be Proud of" scheme. This was an initiative set up by mhs
homes, building on the Government’s Decent Homes standard,
providing an even wider range of improvements to residents.
Len was joined by 100 current and
former colleagues at his retirement party held at mhs homes’ head
office, Broadside, in Chatham Maritime.
Len said, "I’ve enjoyed my time here
and have made some good friends. I’m still going to be kept busy
because my son has a kitchen lined up for me to fit but I am
looking forward to getting the chance to use my fishing rod which
was a gift from all my colleagues."
Chris Hall, Contracts Manager for mhs
commercial services said, "Len brought a lot of experience to the
team, having previously worked as a tradesman. We will all miss
that as well as his good sense of humour."
