Local Offers 2012/13

We have taken your suggestions from focus groups, neighbourhood walkabouts and satisfaction surveys to develop your new Local Offers for 2012-13.

mhs express on the road

The mhs express service will be out on the road in Medway to increase access to our services. We are publicising the dates and venues in mhs news and on our website, twitter and facebook pages.

Signs and lighting at Bryant Street

To improve the safety and security of this area, we are installing road traffic signs, directional signs and improved lighting at Bryant Street.

Parking at Humber Crescent and Melville Court

For customers of Humber Crescent the Local Offer will be to develop with customers a pilot project to improve and increase the parking available.  For Melville Court, the offer involves converting a grassed area into a purpose built parking area, providing around 10 additional spaces.

Going green and reducing rubbish at Ordnance Street and Shorts Way

We are working with local customers in both areas to improve recycling facilities and bin provision.  This will make it easier to recycle and reduce the problem of rubbish dumping.

Improving access to Arnhem Drive

This local offer is looking at the possibility of installing ramps to the bungalows that are located on a steep slope.

Allotments at Chatham Grove

Vacant land to the back of Chatham Grove will be developed into allotments.  If you are interested in working with us on this project or in having an allotment, please contact our Customer Service Centre.

Improvements to the Silverweed shops area

Safety of our customers is key for us. This local offer will look at improvements to lighting and CCTV to help reduce anti-social behaviour in this area.

All these offers are being developed with you. To have your say and make sure they make a difference to your neighbourhood, look out for consultation dates in mhs news and on our website.
