Your rent
Paying the rent is the most important part of your tenancy with
us. The money we collect from rents goes to pay for the services
that we provide for you. So we want to make it as easy as possible
for you to pay your rent and other charges. This means giving you a
wide choice of different ways to pay so you can choose the best and
most convenient one for you.
Your Tenancy Agreement shows your weekly rent, including any
service charges and requires you to pay it on or before the Monday
of each week. You can pay the rent weekly, fortnightly, or monthly
but it must always be 2 weeks in advance.
Calculate your calendar monthly payments
If you want to pay your rent each calendar month then you can do
so. Follow the simply calculation below to workout the exact
payments. Please confirm that your payments are correct with
your Income Officer.
Multiply your weekly rent by 52 (the number of weeks in a year).
This will give you the total amount of rent due for the financial
year April-March. Then divide this sum by 12 to give you the amount
of rent due each calendar month. It is important that you follow
the above calculation to pay the correct amount.
What does your rent pay for?
Your rent pays for maintenance of your property replacing
windows, kitchens,bathrooms etc due to wear and tear;
repairing fittings and grounds maintenance.
