- We will respond to complaints within set timescales and in an
efficient and sensitive manner
- We will offer support to both the victim and perpetrator of
anti-social behaviour in an attempt to change behaviour
- We will encourage residents to solve their differences
themselves where ever possible
- We will work with our partners in the Medway community safety
partnership , which includes, Medway Council, Medway Police, Kent
Fire and rescue service, social services, and the primary care
trust.

What is Anti-social behaviour ?
Anti-social behaviour can mean different
things to different people. It covers a range of selfish and
unacceptable activity that can affect the local community or an
individuals life.
Mhs homes use the following to define
anti-social behaviour
"Acting in a manner that caused or is likely to cause
harassment, alarm or distress to one or more person not of the same
household. (Crime & Disorder Act 1998)".

Nuisance vehicles/driving
Noise
nuisance
Hate crime
Graffiti
Domestic abuse

tipping
Drug use/supply
Harassment/intimidating behaviour
We expect you, your family members and
any visitors to your home to respect your neighbours and the
community and act reasonably and considerately at all
times.

Each complaint of anti social behaviour will
be different and depending on the seriousness will govern how it is
dealt with.
All calls of anti social behaviour will be dealt by the Anti
Social Behaviour Officers.
Cases of Domestic Abuse and Hate Crime will be dealt by the Anti
Social Behaviour Coordinator.
