Sustainability

We are committed to providing a sustainable environment . We have achieved a Silver Standard SHIFT Award (Sustainable Homes Index for Tomorrow) in recognition of our approach to environmental issues.

Our Environment and Sustainability Strategy is clear on how we can minimise the adverse environmental impact as a result of the way we provide our services. For example:

  • 90 new trees were planted as part of the environmental improvements at Shipwright Estate.

We aim to develop a greenspace strategy which will promote access to good quality green space for all of our residents.

Grounds Maintenance Service

Our experienced and highly skilled team provide the following services in communal areas:

  • Grass cutting
  • Tree maintenance - have a look at the 3 year tree maintenance programme
  • Shrub and hedge maintenance
  • Maintenance of play areas
  • Hard areas including footpaths
  • Leaf clearance


 

Estate Improvement

We are proud of our track record of creating imaginative estate improvement schemes together with our residents.  The Shipwright Estate has been transformed following a major improvement scheme completed in partnership with Medway Council, The Wildlife Trust and Groundwork, an environmental regeneration charity.

Your needs have been included in the scheme. The quality of life for all has been enhanced as residents of all ages now enjoy wildflower meadows, a kickabout pitch, raised flower beds, seating areas, newly created private garden spaces, trees and new off street car parking spaces.
