What to do when you move

If you wish to move to another rented property provided by mhs homes or another housing association or local authority, please see our moving home webpages for more information.

If you want to end your tenancy or move home you must give us at least four weeks notice in writing and provide a forwarding address.  All tenancies will end on a Sunday.

Before you leave the property

Properties should be left clean and clear of all household items.  Dont forget to inform the gas and electric company you are moving and make a note of the meter readings.  You may be charged for any damage, clearance or cleaning costs if you do not leave the property in a reasonable state.

Keys should be returned to mhs express in Chatham High Street before 9.30 on the Monday your tenancy ends.  Please do not return keys by post.
