Estate Champions
Are you interested in what’s going on in your area?
Do want to help make a real difference
to where you live?
Become an Estate Champion!
mhs homes has introduced a scheme
where Residents can volunteer to become the eyes and ears of their
neighbourhood.
This will allow mhs homes to respond
quickly to any issues reported in each area and ensure that it is
dealt with promptly and efficiently.
What is an Estate Champion?
An Estate Champion is someone who wants to help mhs
homes make a real difference to the area where they
live.
We want residents in their local
neighbourhood to talk to each other about the issues that are
affecting them.
Each Estate Champion will have a
dedicated point of contact to report any issues regarding their
area and may also accompany Housing Officers on walkabouts to
highlight any problems.
What does it involve?
Estate Champions walk around their
local estates on a regular basis and let us know about issues that
are affecting their area, such as:
- Graffiti
- Rubbish 8that needs removing
- Anti social behaviour
- Fly tipping
- Repairs required in communal areas
- Grass Cutting
- Grounds maintenance
- Estate Champions can choose to walk around their Estate daily
or weekly at a time that is convenient to them.
Quarterly meetings will be held with
other Estate Champions and staff of mhs homes at our offices
to allow for any issues to be resolved or information to be
shared.
Each Estate Champion will receive a
welcome pack containing:
- Useful information about their Estate
- mhs bag
- Folder
- Pen
- Torch
- mhs sweatshirt
- Contact cards
- Useful contact information
