Community Chest
The Community Chest Grant is a funding stream up to £1,500 which
is open to individuals and group projects that encourage greater
involvement in local community activities by providing projects
which will benefit residents living in areas where we own or manage
homes.
We particularly welcome applications from gold service members
and applications that support activities and services for children,
young people and older people. The results should lead to greater
community involvement, more vibrant and cohesive communities, local
regeneration and encouraging residents to become empowered
and take an active part in their communities.
mhs homes will fund:
- New projects that are starting up
- Existing groups to expland their activities
- Organisations working with hard to reach groups
- Individuals whose/project will ultimately benefit the
community
Recently we have awarded grants to local projects, Medway Credit
Union to provide new equipment so that they can reach more
customers, The Break Away Club, a social club for disabled people
in Strood and the Earl Estate Project to help fund a detached youth
worker.
