Leaseholder Rights and Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the inside of your property
including:
- floorboards
- ceiling boards
- plaster and tiling (walls and floors)
- gas, electricity and central heating (including internal pipes
and cabling)
- internal window frames and window glass
- fixtures and fittings inside the property
Your lease will more clearly detail your various rights and
responsibilites, a summary is listed below:
You must pay all charges relating to the property such as
Council Tax, Ground Rent and Water Rates.
- You must obtain mhs homes permission before carrying out any
building alterations.
- You must not cause a nuisance to neighbours.
- You must keep the parts of the property that you are
responsible for in good condition.
- You must tell mhs homes when you sell or sublet your
home.
