Your Own Improvements to Your
Home
If you would like to make your own
improvements or alterations to your home, you must inform us in
writing with the details of your proposals and plans, if
appropriate, together with the names of those who will carry out
the work.
It may be necessary for us to
visit before we can give permission for the proposed
work. You should check with your local council if you
need to apply for Planning Permission or Building Regulations
approval. You are responsible for applying for these.
If you would like to discuss your
plans, please call 0845 113 3000. It is your responsibility
to maintain the improvements you have completed.
If your improvement work results in
mhs homes having to pay to have it corrected because, for example,
the work was sub-standard or it made the property unsuitable or
unsafe, we will re-charge the cost to you.
