their partnership approach by ENCAMS the body responsible for
environmental campaigns.

issues in our neighbourhood, through our partnerships. This
accreditation is a great boost in showing local residents that
positive things are happening in the area. We are not stopping here
though, we have got a big tidy up taking place on Saturday
20th June and an open day planned for residents. We want
to attract more people to join us to continue making these
improvements."

regular basis now to discuss their concerns and have already
noticed a vast improvement."

Cllr Dennis McFarlane have been supporting the initiative to clean
up Shipwrights Avenue and working closely with the group of
volunteers. Cllr Val Goulden said, "We were delighted to find out
we had won this award, especially after everyone has worked so
hard. We have a very good working relationship with mhs homes,
Medway Police and residents and hope to continue building on this
success."
Alan Hughes, mhs homes Environmental
Manager said, "By working in partnership with a number of local
agencies and residents we are making great progress. This is the
first quality mark we have achieved and one that we hope to achieve
in other neighbourhoods."

Shipwrights Avenue, shows the value of working with residents and
other partners to make lasting improvements and the award reflects
this excellent team effort. ENCAMS fully supports mhs’ work to make
neighbourhoods better places to live."
