Charles Brangwin, Head of Housing at mhs homes said
"This year we took into account feedback received from our
customers and included Indian food as well as henna painting. Gold
customers received VIP treatment in their very own marquee with
free food and drink on offer as well as exclusive
competitions".
PCSO Rikki McMachan from Kent
Police said "This was the fifth year that we have organised the fun
days with mhs homes for people in the local community and it was a
great success with something for everyone. The army assault course
was a popular attraction, young people also had the chance to test
their skills on the Speedcage. KMFM kept the crowd entertained
throughout the day as well as Maidstone Majorettes demonstrating
three really lively performances".
Suzanne Appleton from Gillingham
said, "I have been to the mhs fun days for the past two years and
the kids have really enjoyed themselves. This time however there
was a real community atmosphere. My twelve year old boy couldn’t
believe that a Policeman was prepared to play scoring goals with
him. I’ve never seen that before either – it was a real treat to
watch them. The Police even went in the stocks too!".
