Gas safety competition winner June 09Gas Safety gives big rewards

mhs homes customer Robert Beasant was over the moon to find out he had scooped £100 for simply having his routine gas inspection by Swale Heating.

Robert from Sharon Crescent, Chatham was presented with his cash prize by Peter Whittington, Installations Director from Swale Heating who organised the prize draw in conjunction with mhs homes. Robert said, "I certainly thought it was my lucky day when I got the call telling me I had won. I managed to get £1 on the lottery and £100 today, I’m just hoping my next win will be a £1,000. I’m going to give some of the winnings to my local clay pigeon shooting club to help pay for cartridges for the Down Syndrome Children’s charity we support. The cartridges can be very expensive so this money will go a little way to helping the children enjoy a day out."

mhs homes has now been able to successfully conduct gas safety checks to 99.65% of their 8,000 properties thanks to the co-operation of their customers. Peter Whittington said, "This is the second year we have run this prize draw with mhs homes and it’s proving to be a great success. It is very important that everyone has their gas safety check to ensure residents are kept safe and that heating and hot water systems function correctly for the next 12 months."
