mhs winners take home the gold
Six lucky residents from mhs homes
were presented with a variety of prizes, ranging from a hamper to
gift vouchers, after they won competitions held in the housing
associations gold magazine.
The residents were all invited to a
prize presentation held at Broadside, mhs homes head office by
Charles Brangwin mhs homes’, Head of Housing and the New
Initiatives Team.
Linda Keen from Hartley Mews,
Gillingham entered the card craft competition and won £25 worth of
craft vouchers, after her sister persuaded her to take part, "Now
I’ve won once I will definitely be entering more competitions."
A children’s version of the craft
competition was also held with sisters Rosie (7) & Nancey
Liddle (8) from Silverweed Road, Chatham winning the top prize.
They plan to spend the vouchers on bits for their school project.
Rosie said, "It was really fun making the card. We can’t wait to
tell everyone at school."
Competition expert Stephen Maton from
Fort Pitt Street, Chatham won the hamper full of goodies for
correctly answering a question about food safety. "Entering
competitions has become my hobby" said Stephen, "I have been doing
them now for 7 years and I have won loads of prizes."
Ann Simon from Albatross Avenue
Rochester said, "The competitions are the best part of the gold
magazine, I enjoy entering them." Ann was surprised to hear she had
won the B&Q Vouchers, and the mhs homes handyman for a day
after she completed a wordsearch. She said, "It will be a great to
have some things done around the house that I haven’t got round to
doing."
The winners were also treated with
cakes and drinks during the afternoon. Charles Brangwin said,
"Since setting up our gold service in 2005 we’ve had 64 lucky
competition winners. The competitions held in this magazine are
exclusive to gold service members and highlight our commitment to
our loyal customers."
