Book your place for our annual charity golf day

Golfers of all abilities are invited to take part in our annual charity golf day, to raise money for Crohn's & Colitis UK, our charity of the year.

The event, which includes a day of golf, breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as various activities to raise money and awareness for the charity, will take place on Friday 25 May at Tudor Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Maidstone.

Alexandra Hackwell is this year’s charity representative, and nominated it after seeing her close friend, Taryn Duhig struggle with the devastating effects of the condition.

"Taryn’s Crohn’s has taken a turn for the worse lately and it’s preventing her from living her 20’s to their full potential as it’s making her too poorly to leave the house at times".

Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and other forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease are thought to affect 300,000 people in the UK.

But it’s a largely hidden disease as it can often cause stigma, fear and isolation.

One of the charity’s aims is to spread awareness that not all disabilities are visible.

"I’d like to say thank you to all those who’ll be supporting us in this year’s golf day. We’re hoping to raise funds and awareness of the tremendous work that Crohn's & Colitis UK do to develop better treatments, provide support and ultimately, to find a cure".

Last year’s golf day raised almost £7,000 for our then charity of the year, MS Society.
