We’ve been recognised as an Investor in People, with Gold accreditation for the sixth year running!

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been recognised as Investors in People with Gold accreditation. This means we’re in the top 2% of all organisations assessed.

It’s after a recent review which looked at nine key indicators of high performance. We were originally awarded the Gold accreditation in 2012 and have maintained it since through regular reviews. We also achieved the Bronze award in 2008 and Silver in 2011.

We now have 9,000 homes and our ultimate ambition is to help end the housing crisis in north Kent.

But we know that the difference between a good service and a great service is the people we employ. We hire for a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a commitment to provide service excellence.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.

The standard has been recently overhauled, and the new standard is significantly more challenging than the previous one.

Commenting on the award, Colin McCarthy, HR Manager, said: “We’re really proud to be recognised as a Gold IiP employer for the sixth year running.

"We expect all of our colleagues to commit to our CREATE values; Community, Respect, Excellence, Agility, Teamwork and Enjoyment. In return, we commit to being the best employer we can. We want to continue to create a work environment which is rewarding, engaging and fun."

Colin McCarthy, HR Manager

"We’d like to congratulate mhs homes. Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. mhs homes should be extremely proud of their achievement."

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People

This is a great result which follows our success earlier this year of being placed at number 34 in the Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit list. This is up 62 places since last year.

"We’re really proud of our staff and would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication in making all of this achievable."
