We’re supporting four awareness campaigns

It’s Safeguarding Adults Awareness Week, World Homelessnesss Day, World Mental Health Day and Housing Day – all in one week!

This week is Safeguarding Adults Awareness Week, reminding people it’s everyone’s responsibility to prevent adult abuse.

It aims to highlight the problems of isolation and exploitation within Kent and encourage the public to report any concerns.

In the last financial year more than 11,600 safeguarding concerns were reported in Kent and Medway, up from 10,600 the previous year. That’s according to figures from Kent County Council.

During the campaign week there’ll be lots of information stands and one-stop-shops taking place across the county. Click here to see a full list.

This week we’re also supporting World Homelessness Day, World Mental Health Day and Housing Day, which all take place on Wednesday 10 October.

This year’s Housing Day is particularly timely as it falls in the middle of the consultation period for the Government's Social Housing Green Paper.

The theme is 'The tenant voice', providing a real opportunity for both landlords and residents to get their message across.
