Could you be one of our tenant board members?

We’re looking for two tenants to join our board. You don’t need any special training or qualifications and we’ll pay you £8,852 plus expenses.

The board meets ten times a year to:

  • Scrutinise what we do and how we do it
  • Make decisions about how we’re run
  • Help us do more of the things our customers like
  • Help us get things right, more of the time
  • Ensure we meet legal duties and keep to our aims and values

What could I do for the board?

  • We want your ideas
  • Challenge us
  • Help to shape our future

Who else is on the board?

  • Our Chief Executive and Company Secretary
  • People with different skills and experience with great ideas

Is there support or training?

Yes. You’ll learn directly from staff members with an induction plan in place.

Plus, other board members and our Governance Team will be happy to help you get ready for meetings.

Want to know more?

Come along to a question and answer session at our Broadside office on Wednesday 24 April. There’ll be two sessions, at:

“I've loved my time as a mhs tenant board member. I'm sad to say goodbye. I'd recommend it to everyone. It's totally opened up my eyes to how committed to their tenants mhs are. It's allowed me to grow as a person and I've experienced opportunities that I'd never of had the chance to be a part of if it wasn't for mhs. It's enabled me to be a full time mum, to provide an income and also recognise me as a individual. mhs has enabled me to achieve my dream."
