Have you checked that your heating works?

We’re asking you to turn your heating on just to check it's working as it should be.

Why?

We want to make sure you have hot water and heating throughout the colder months. Often people wait for it to get cold before switching their heating on and find it's not working as it should be.

But if you know about it now, you can book an engineer to get it fixed*

How to check it

Let your boiler run for about half an hour to make sure the system is running as it should be and that all of your radiators get warm.

You'll need to turn your thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) up. This is what your TRV will look like, but it might be at the bottom of your radiators:

Remember to turn your heating off once you’ve finished testing it.

What to do if you've found a problem

If you live in one of our homes and have found a problem with your heating, please call Liberty Gas on 0800 634 5385 or 0330 333 8397.

*If you're one of our shared owners or leaseholders then all heating repairs are your responsibility and you'll need to find an independent heating engineer to fix the problem.
