No heating or boiler broken down?

If your boiler has broken down with total loss of heating or hot water you'll need to call Liberty Gas on 0330 3338 397. They should attend within:

  • 24 hours under normal circumstances
  • Four hours if you are a vulnerable or elderly person

They'll either repair the problem straight away or they'll arrange another appointment to fit the parts needed to fix the issue.

Annual gas servicing

By law, we must check your gas appliances each year. You must let Liberty Gas into your home to do this. The check only takes about an hour.

Liberty Gas will book an appointment with you six weeks before your gas safety certificate expires.

If we find faulty appliances

If any of your own appliances are found to be unsafe or faulty they will have to be disconnected by law.

Gas appliances that are not working correctly can produce poisonous fumes, and around 50 deaths a year can be directly attributed to faulty gas appliances. For more information, see Gas Safe’s website.

If you’re extremely vulnerable to coronavirus (shielded)

We’re rearranging annual gas safety checks for households containing people who are defined on medical grounds as extremely vulnerable (also known as shielded). We’ll rearrange the check for when your isolation has ended.

All other gas safety checks are going ahead - our teams are following government guidelines on social distancing and have personal protective equipment. We'll contact you to arrange an appointment.
