Gas servicing during the coronavirus pandemic

For your safety, our gas servicing visits are still going ahead, including for those who’re critically extremely vulnerable.

Our teams are following government guidelines on social distancing and have personal protective equipment. We'll contact you to arrange your appointment but please speak to us if you have any concerns.

We must check your gas appliances each year by law. The check only takes about an hour.

You must let Liberty Gas into your home to do this.

Liberty Gas will contact you to book an appointment six weeks before your gas safety certificate expires.

If we find faulty appliances

If any of your own appliances are found to be unsafe or faulty they will have to be disconnected by law.

Gas appliances that are not working correctly can produce poisonous fumes, and around 50 deaths a year can be directly attributed to faulty gas appliances. For more information, see Gas Safe’s website.
