Yeoman House, Rochester

Our latest older persons housing scheme is expected to be completed in October 2021, and will provide affordable, sheltered living for 68 over-65s.

Yeoman House is a redevelopment of an old scheme that served the same purpose. The new and improved development will boast contempary apartments of a higher standard, a communal lounge, a picturesque garden and will provide much needed housing for over-65s.

There are still a number of one and two-bed units yet to be filled, and you can soon apply for them through Homechoice.

Rochester is an historic town, boasting the second largest cathedral in England, as well as being the childhood home of Charles Dickens. The high street maintains a quaint atmosphere, with boutiques, art galleries and antique shops, and a monthly flea market offering great vintage finds and local crafts. The town also has many bars, restaurants and pubs making it a vibrant cultural hub.

The development itself is conveniently located, with a supermarket, medical practice and pharmacy all more or less a stone's throw away. Yeoman House is easily reached by train too, with Chatham station little over 15 minutes walk away and Rochester station just a tad further - roughly 20 minutes on foot.
