Yeoman House, Rochester

Our latest older persons housing scheme was completed in late October 2021, and provides affordable, sheltered living for people over the age of 60.

Yeoman House is a redevelopment of an old scheme that served the same purpose. The new and improved scheme boasts contemporary apartments of a higher standard, a communal lounge, a picturesque garden and will provide much needed housing for over-60s.

There are still a number of  two-bed units yet to be filled, and you can soon apply for them through Homechoice.

Location

Rochester is an historic town, boasting the second largest cathedral in England, as well as being the childhood home of Charles Dickens. The high street maintains a quaint atmosphere, with boutiques, art galleries and antique shops, and a monthly flea market offering great vintage finds and local crafts. The town also has many bars, restaurants and pubs making it a vibrant cultural hub.

The development itself is conveniently located, with a supermarket, medical practice and pharmacy all more or less a stone's throw away. Yeoman House is easily reached by train too, with Chatham station little over 15 minutes walk away and Rochester station just a tad further - roughly 20 minutes on foot.
